Pets and Tenancies/ Condominiums
Landlords and tenants have a legal relationship governed by their tenancy agreement and the tenancy laws. Landlords may attempt to limit tenant’s rights by including a no-pet clause in their lease agreement. These clauses are not enforceable in Ontario. Condominiums may establish no-pet regulations under specific conditions. Gartner and Associates will advise you of your legal rights and responsibilities to owning and keeping a pet in your place of residence. We can assist in settling any disputes between a tenant, landlord and condominium related to pets.
